The Higher Education Commission aims “to facilitate institutions of higher learning to serve as engines for socio-economic development of Pakistan” as stated in the mission. Along these lines, Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan took an initiative to finance proposals of completed interdisciplinary applied research projects for prototype development and industrial value addition for technology development. In this way, HEC envisages to help the productive minds of Pakistan to impact economy through new and emerging technologies.
The proposed funded projects would be expected to develop a product or service which would positively impact, inter alia, the economy, solve a current problem, meet a market need, utilize local raw materials, move current products up the value chain, create large scale employment.
Documentaries Highlighting H.E.C/T.D.F Success Stories – Media Science Project
This is the video documentary project. The documentaries will be made on the selected 33 proposals funded by Higher Education Commission Pakistan. These documentaries will cover the process of the products, their applications, important features and how these products are giving benefit to the society.
The documentaries will be made in three stages, in the first stage that is called the pre-production stage, a skilled team will be hired that will work on the data collection, script writing, story boarding and in the second stage production will be done that will comprise on shooting of the locations, shooting product development, supplies, usage and benefits etc. In the third stage post-production phase will stage and final editing of the visuals will be synchronized according to the script, each video would be of maximum of 10 minutes.
